Q:
Tell Us About Your Family and Pets.
I have been married to Greg for 16 years, after 2 years of dating. We currently
reside in South Holland and love it here! We have a son, Matt who is 12 and a
fur child Jesse, who is 13. For having only one people child, we always have a
house full of kids, between cousins and friends! We are always having fun! Matt
and I both love to create things! One section of the basement is my craft area
and another section is considered the kids craft area. Matt and his cousins can
spend hours down there!
Q: Tell Us About Your Childhood, Where You Grew Up and When Your Creativity
Began.
I grew up in South Holland and am the oldest of 3. While Greg was in the Navy,
we lived in Norfolk, VA. When we moved back to the midwest, we lived in Lansing
(IL) We moved to South Holland almost 4 years ago when my former boss' parents
moved to Missouri to live with them. We actually bought the house without ever
seeing the interior until after we signed the papers to buy the house. We took a
giant step of faith and we absolutely love it here! It is the perfect house for
our family. Family has always been an extremely important part of my life. The
best memories I have of childhood revolve around family. My mom and grandmothers
were always sewing etc. and were always very encouraging and interested in what
I was making.
Q: To What Do You Attribute Your Talents and What Inspires You.
I believe the Lord puts people and things into my life to guide me and inspire
me. Sometimes, the kids give me ideas with what they are creating.
Q: How Did You Find PWA?
About 3 years ago, while I was a demo for SU! and my up-line went to the SU!
convention. Since I couldn't go, I sent some swaps with her. When I picked up my
swaps after convention, one really caught my eye. It had tiny clear beads on it,
that I had never seen before. When I turned over the swap there was a PWA
sticker on it. I had to check out PWA and immediately joined the group! I love
PWA and all the wonderful ladies that make up this group! By the way, I still
have that swap and it was made by Katrina Merryman! Thanks Katrina!!
Q: When Did You Begin Stamping?
About 6 years ago, my sister went to a SU! work shop. She called me and said
that she found something she thought I would like. I went to a SU! meeting and
signed up without ever having stamped before, and have been stamping ever since!
Q: What Is Your Favorite Stamping Technique?
I don't really have a favorite technique. I love to try new things, though.
Q: Do You Have Any Other Hobbies or Interests, Besides Stamping?
I also enjoy walking, cross stitch, sewing, and gardening. I also enjoy just
running and playing with the kids. The kids of today, are tomorrows hope and I
want to help build them up and encourage them.
Q: Will
you show us some pictures of your craft/stamp room? |
